Lady aimes toffee ingredients

  • 1⁄2 c Sugar
  • 1⁄4 c Brown sugar
  • 2⁄5 c Corn sirup
  • 1⁄2 c Chopped raisins
  • Few grains salt
  • 2⁄5 c Evaporated milk
  • 2 T butter or butter substitute
  • 1 t Any flavoring
  • 1⁄2 c Chopped nuts
  • 1⁄2 c coconut

Cooking Lady aimes toffee

1. Combine sugar, sirup, milk, and salt.
2. Boil to hard ball stage (265 - 270°F).
3. Add butter, flavoring, chopped nuts, raisins, and coconut.
4. Pour into well-buttered pan. When cold cut into long narrow bars.
