Maine Potato Donuts ingredients

  • 1 c Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3⁄4 c Milk
  • 3⁄4 c Cold mashed potato
  • 3 3⁄4 c flour
  • 1⁄4 c Melted shortening
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 4 t baking powder
  • 3⁄4 t Ginger

Cooking Maine Potato Donuts

1. Mixi sugar and eggs, add milk and potato.
2. Add shortening and vanilla.
3. Sifti dry ingredients, add and mix well.
4. Chill 1 hour before frying.
5. Roll, cut out and fry in deep fat at 375.
