Strawberry Cookies ingredients

  • 1⁄4 lb margarine
  • 1⁄2 c Sugar
  • 1 Eggs, beaten
  • 4 oz Dates; cut up
  • 1⁄2 c flour
  • 1⁄4 t Salt
  • 1⁄2 t vanilla
  • 1⁄2 c nuts chopped
  • 1 1⁄4 c Rice Krispies
  • Red sugar
  • Green icing

Cooking Strawberry Cookies

1. Cook margarine, sugar, egg and dates for 5 minutes.
2. Add flour gradually; mix well and cook for 7 minutes longer.
3. Remove from heat and add salt, nuts, vanilla and rice krispies.
4. Mixi well; do not let mix get cold.
5. Shape into strawberries.
6. Place with red sugar in a brown back and shake to coat cookies.
7. Make stem with some green decorator icing.
8. Note: Can use strawberry jello to coat cookies instead of red sugar.
